Call me a wimp if you will but I wear bicycle gel gloves (thinner than workout gloves) to prevent said palms from getting ripped up. I don't relish having bloody hands. Heal quick and then pick up a pair.

I'll be a wussy and be damn proud of it then. You guys can keep your bloody hands to yourself. One of the Xfitters tore his hand up over a week ago and he still hasn't healed. Thanks but no thanks.

. To be completely honest with you, I don't have a problem with losing parts of my hands... As we all know we like different workouts, you guys like teh xfit and I'm the "old-school"-gym guy. I don't do my exercises in the same tempo as you guys do. Also, when I feel that my hands are starting to slip, I work on my grip.I actually don't use any equipment whatsoever in the gym. No belt, no gloves....well, I have a water bottle

It was teh shins bleedin, not hands...but none the less, I don't use gloves. Depending on how they feel I may wrap sometimes just to avoid the sheer pain while doing X amount of pull ups/t2b/k2e/etc. as for healing, yea it takes a while but the only part of my hands that are bad are at he based of my fingers where I've managed some good calluses. The rest are silky smooth and I was actually complimented on them the other day by a real girl
so I'm not too worried. a little attention to them and moisturizing does wonders.
I will say using the word moisturizing just sounds so very womanly....but hey, at least I don't wear gloves
