Yeah, 2004 996 GT3's are in the $50s.

before thinking of buying a GT3, you should mind about the maintenance price of a Porsche.

since you don't want to spend more than 50k for 997 GT3, to be realistic, it might not be the best idea...

Well I choose 50-55k because that IS the price point at which I feel comfortable in owning, operating, maintaining a porsche.
