A more eloquent reply would be that the A/S5 has already been facelifted once, and they never facelift RS cars. They are always the last cherry on the model sundae before it's being replaced.

As far as the R8 is concerned, not just gonna happen.

From what I've been told/understand, the A5/S5/RS5 will get an update in 2012 as 2013 models. This is the reason the US won't get the RS5 until then...
