TPC Racing: GT3 Cup Build for ALMS GTC Competition

In May, TPC Racing will take delivery of a new GT3 Cup car to run in the ALMS GTC class. This car has been freshly built by TRG in California with a new tub from the ground up. The team at TRG has done a top notch job with the build of our new GT3 Cup car that we plan to run in select races in the GTC class. TPC Racing knows that with a top notch build like the one that TRG is doing, we will have a very competitive car to fight for race wins.

TPC Racing team owner, Michael Levitas, is very excited about this project. "After running successfully in the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge, we are ready to expand our team. When coming across this new car, I had to take advantage of the opportunity," said Levitas. "Kevin Buckler and the TRG staff know how to build a fantastic car, so I know that we will have a good car to fight for the win."

This will be a great opportunity for the drivers and sponsors as well, running in the ALMS series with great exposure. As well, the car can also be converted to run in the Platinum class of the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge Series, so we are very excited to take delivery of the car and start racing it!

Here are photos of the build going on:

What are mods Kevin's team is doing as it compares to Grand Am? Like wider rears, carbon fronts, exhaust, etc? Or is it generally a stock car with shocks, etc?

This car started life as a Grand Am car that needed a tub after Daytona. When we found out about the car, we went with a new tub and had TRG complete the build. The car is a new tub and body, engine and trans all for GTC. This is a stock GT3 Cup, and like the IMSA Challenge series, the shocks are open. The car should be running tomorrow and the guys at TRG have done a great job with the build. We look forward to picking up the car in May at Laguna Seca!
