I am not sure if there are any internal changes to that new part, current UK temp/cold air or not having driven the 4.0 for a few months but the car has never pulled harder. Christ it felt strong over the weekend pulling like a train!!

It looks the same? Ill ask my dealer what they think.

Should not make a performance difference I think.

I would love to know what the differences are, my dealer has not been forthcoming with any details.

I spoke to a friend of mine who owns a Porsche specialist in the UK regarding the issue around the inlet butterfly today. He is the UK Manthey agent and said in discussions with Olaf the issue was the butterfly nuts being injested and was aware of the problem.

Thank you very much for posting all this information.
I've sent the pics and part numbers to Champion motorsports, but no reply yet.

I saw a 3.8 at the local dealer here getting the manifold replaced. The failed part caused some nasty damage to the car. Seems to be more prevalent on tracked cars, go figure.

No problem Peter I know I don't fancy needing a new block in my car, I hope this modified part prevents what seams to be a fairly small problem that can cause a big headache. I see you are in south Florida, my brother is living in Naples, much better weather for an RS than here in the UK!

I checked with my dealer and my race shop, and my car is not affected.
I suggest everyone to have the same check to be on a safe side.
Best, w
