GT cars losing their soul

Strange there isn't more debate in this thread regarding Porsche (very) possibly using the 9A1 engine in the next GT3 as opposed to the Mezger.
Whether it comes only with a Manual or PDK means less to me than the GT cars having an engine designed and built to survive WWIII.

The pdk will be fast, power will be easily accessible and you will see faster lap times. Lets hope the gearbox is a step ahead from the panamera and 997.2 turbo and as sweet as Ferraris 458(one of the best dsgs at the moment imo).
Now about reliability, I wouldn't worry about that much if Porsche were to base it's cup cars on the new gt3. Those cars go through hell and are bulletproof

As all supercars will become in the future, I believe less and less involving and more technical. I mean even the pagani huyara went to a paddle box, still to keep it's race car feel they gave it a harsher race type box. I am looking forward to reviews and seeing the 918 in person. There is one allocation next to me in RI and there will be an unveiling party in the future.

From your three Porsches- youre selling the most exclusive one, the most expensive one..to get a "basic" 991 GT3.(?)
This is like going from a first class super model (Paris Hilton, Kate Upton etc) to an average women from next doors..
PS: There will come a time when you will deeply regret this decision (especially if you intend to track the new GT3)..but its your decision..
