i will say i was impressed by the quattro system on the R8, its rearward bias was to such a degree that it felt almost like a RWD car, only the lack of steering purity indicating the actual drivetrain configuration.
To be a little serious I think you should choose the RS.

I already have a C4S, so an R8 would be redundant. If I could only have one, it'd still be the RS. Just so focused, so awesome. I'll take mine in green, please.

They are very different machines. In light of the RS' track-oriented suspension, roll cage, stripped down interior/options, etc... the R8 is almost a GT car.

If we're talking a true dd, then I'd go with R8. If you're willing to live with the harsh suspension and heavy clutch on your drive to work everyday, and then wring it out on the track or mountain roads every weekend, then there really is no better car than the RS.

GT

R8 is pretty useless to me. Never have been a fan of them and the mismatched panels really fvck up the car.

And the R8 is a look at me car, not a drivers car. If I want a look at me car I will drive an AMG CL

its not for me mate, its for my friend. i usually don't involve myself in other peoples purchases but we have bought several cars from each other over the years so it could end up in my garage at some point. he is leaning towards the R8, im pushing the RS.

i want him to do a 3.9 and then buy it from him when he gets bored to be honest. my next car will likely be an FGT when im back in a first world country.
