Would Sport Classic ducktail fit RS?

^ That is a cool idea.
Wonder what downforce is created when the wing is in "neutral" position. I am definitely not saying Porsche is wrong, but they have also liability to avoid... The car is tested with the wing, period.
JT no problem, I can take the jabs.

^ why not? if you think removing the spoiler subtract's from the car's personality then i would say that's very subjective. just like removing the decals. if you think it's a bad idea because of stability, i am all ears.
im also not sure how adding these things to a Carrera/S/GTS does not "disrupt the balance" since the front is not being modified.
im with felix, i think the GT3RS is one of the coolest cars out there, but i wouldn't want to drive around looking like an ice cream vendor unless i am at the track. personal preference. adding the ducktail to the GTS defeats the whole purpose. I'd keep the GTS spoiler-free, and it's not the same car in the first place. ducktail is not the end goal.
And why is the Turbo S so wrong? This looks slick!

IMHO it's going to be an interesting project! I don't see aerodynamics playing that much of a role in normal, day to day speeds. A carbon clip-on duck tail addition that can be taken off and substituted with the original wing when needed is one solution.

this is my point exactly....and why I think a GTS would be a much better candidate. I am trying to have a open mind on this mod believe me, and I do realize that the California folks like to do things a little different with cars and spoilers....I recently bought a 88 E28 Euro M5 that the previous Cali owner had to have that cool stealth look and removed the rear spoiler, filled the holes, repainted and left it naked, (of course I drilled the trunk and put the OEM spoiler back on...It looks better damn it! after all it is a M5)...so this stealth look/cool look ducktail idea or even no tail does not surprise me from the left coast. It just surprises me that a GT3 or a Turbo would be despoilered/castrated for this look. Seems to me a Carrera or GTS would look better stealth...hell they already are and the GTS has a similar front to a GT3. To each his own I guess....interesting project.

"California folk" hehe. I just moved here.
Anyway, I normally agree when it's going the other way - adding a spoiler to a car that did not come with on originally, so I see what you are saying. However, I am positive that if this RS wing were not OEM, most people would say it's total rice, and owners would get flamed on the boards for adding such a wing. But since it's OEM, it flies for most people. Hell, I liked the RS.1 wing, flowed with the car. RS.2 wing just does not fit aesthetically, IMO. And on the street, it's hardly needed. And if someone wants the RS (the car is so different from a GTS, c'mon) but not the huge wing, I don't see why it's the wrong car for them. It's not like buying the RS and adding softer suspension or 20'' heavy wheels...
Oh well, different strokes for different folks. I was just wondering if it'd fit.
