Would Sport Classic ducktail fit RS?

The way I see it, I am making the car "less show." It's not detracting from the car ONE bit. But it looks less in-your-face to the rest of the world. It's not making the car softer. It's the same hardcore RS as before, just not letting the world know.

"California folk" hehe. I just moved here.
Anyway, I normally agree when it's going the other way - adding a spoiler to a car that did not come with on originally, so I see what you are saying. However, I am positive that if this RS wing were not OEM, most people would say it's total rice, and owners would get flamed on the boards for adding such a wing. But since it's OEM, it flies for most people. Hell, I liked the RS.1 wing, flowed with the car. RS.2 wing just does not fit aesthetically, IMO. And on the street, it's hardly needed. And if someone wants the RS (the car is so different from a GTS, c'mon) but not the huge wing, I don't see why it's the wrong car for them. It's not like buying the RS and adding softer suspension or 20'' heavy wheels...
Oh well, different strokes for different folks. I was just wondering if it'd fit.

I agree with you, the RS.2 wing is different and BIG! But it was designed for max downforce and if you look at Cup Cars in the Porsche Cup or GT3 cars they have these huge wings now vs a few years ago. If it did not come on a RS though..and was not offered as a Porsche Motorsport part...then yes it would be classified as Ricey. I also think that most RS owners buy these cars for tracking even if weekend warrior or a couple times a year. I think this is one of the disconnects you and I have on this. To me this is not really a street car but a track car with track body parts....I do not know of a single RS (although I am sure there must be a few out there) that has been modded to be softer sprung or 20inchers added to it (hell it may need a lift kit to do this )...most want 18s for track and Stiffer suspension like Motons/JRZ and solid mount suspension parts w/o any rubber. All of which would make this a very very stiff, feel every bump street car.
On the other hand..
The GTS has a much lower price point, a 408hp motor, a similar front fascia to the way over priced Sports Classic that has a narrow body, the GT3 rear apron cut outs and the front fascia Gt3/Turbo look. I would think this would be a much better candidate for the ducktail and the body parts from a Sports Classic. (looks like they stole Gt3 parts from anyway)
see this: http://www.netcarshow.com/porsche/20...sport_classic/
Also remember the RS is a widebody and the ducktail may look oddly too narrow on this RS @$$. But then there is the GT3 and the ducktail probably would look proportionate on this.....not on mine though

Cheers man, No offense meant with the Cali Classification....
