Yeah you have less downforce but I don't see Carrera/S/GTS/Targas flying off the road when they hit 100. I can't imagine it effects the balance that drastically, especially on the street. Isn't the .2RS spoiler a bajillion times more effective than the .1 GT3? Those cars are controlled just fine as well. Wonder what the downforce difference is between a .1GT3 and a ducktail.
I think it's all about balance. The front of the car has a lot of downforce which is matched in the rear. Take away one, and the other becomes unbalanced.

Exactly my point. I decided against putting the front vent in mine because of this reason.

I agree, however there are plenty of Carreras running around with GT3 fronts, many without the rear spoiler. I think balance is very important but I am not sure how much the downforce the RS creates up front relative to its peers. That being said, I wouldn't recommend it for the track but I think we are giving downforce more credit than it's due for street driving. Now I am blowing smoke as I don't know these details, just going off what combinations front/rear I have seen on other vehicles that remained on the road.

Wyatt, honestly, I'm not sure you're much of an expert on these matters. You haven't driven one of these cars nor are you an automotive engineer.

Correct, I have not driven an RS nor a car with a ducktail. Does not mean I can't discuss with reason. Better call up NWAS and warn them that their customer is going to end up in a ditch!!!

I agree with wyatth. Swaping the rs wing for a ducktail is not a problem. You will not notice any different on the street. I say go for it

No one need to be an expert... just take the time and read...
ALL THIS IS WELL DESCRIBED ON YOUR GT3 RS USER MANUAL!!
Porsche focuses the attention on how only changing the rear wing incidence affects the car's whole balance!
It is written in cubital letters that for road use "the bench" MUST be kept in the neutral position as it came out from the factory. Taking "the bench" completely off is even worse...
More: "the bench" is designed to optimize the aerodinamic on the back of the car included the air-flow going into the air intakes of the engine...

PS: the bench is what makes the GT3RS different and IMO much better looking than any other Porsche around, I keep on missing the point on why you should/want take it off...

I for one would love have an RS without stickers and without wing, that way I could take it to work without having everyone staring at me and wondering why I brought the circus to town
