Before I even drove the CGT I was told what to expect, and after pissing myself I found it to be simple to drive at slow speeds. But after giving it some gas I can see the animal in it. For now I am content in my 150HP on a good day rust bucket. Once I mature and learn some more behind the wheel, I can only hope to own a CGT.

O, And I didn't stall it

Read first post. Sounds like driver error. CGT doesnt drive itself. No paddles, no stability, no babies

CGT start

Note no throttle until clutch is fully released then mash it.

YouTube - Carrera GT airfield start

And from inside the car, note how quickly you can do it after practice - but still a royal PIA

Some profanity at the end of this - apologies

So the best way to get it moving is to slowly release the clutch and then give it some gas, and the best way to launch it is to do the same thing a bit more aggressively? That makes sense.

Would it be bad to give the engine revs and then slowly release the clutch at launch?

And a general question to CGT owners. When you're slowing down (not to a complete stop), do you down shift, or do you brake and clutch, and when you reach your desired speed just shift it into the correct gear?

Are there any CGT drivers that heel-toe/double clutch no matter what?

(Just trying to get some insights on the best way to drive a manual car in a sporty, clutch sparing way so I don't seem like an idiot when I get a car one day)

Heel toe

Double clutching is common in driving trucks, but also common in high performance cars.

I have never Double Clutched anything but a truck. So I don't know about that. What's the advantage to double clutching?

I'm sure I heel toe it when driving I don't pay attention to that anymore.

I think he's getting a twin plate clutch and double clutching confused
