GTR V-spec laps ring faster that carrera GT

Want. I, for one love the looks and the performance speaks for itself.
Every manufacturer has the opportunity to set the cars up properly prior to running at the ring. If any of you guys think Porsche didn't optimize the CGT or GT2 (or whatever) prior to their runs you are kidding yourself. The ring is Porsche's backyard. Now if they did not take every step possible to run as fast a lap as possible its their fault for not doing so.
Porsches are great cars in their own right but the fact still stands that Nissan has created one hell of a machine. No matter what you think of the GTR, this is a good thing for us enthusiasts.
I am a huge P-Car nut too. The whole reason I am into cars is because of a friends '83 guards red 930 Turbo euro-spec. I just happen to like certain Japanese ones too.

sorry to disagree but ring times used to be about cars you could buy and what they do , now its about ringers that bear little or no resemblance to the car you actually buy .
cars on trick tyres , dubious engines with trick suspension etc are unfortunately the norm now .

The GT2 RS clocked a record-breaking time of 7 minutes and 18 seconds around the Nürburgring-Nordschleife track (claimed by Porsche), one of the fastest times in modern production car history.[6] However, this was performed on the shorter Nurburgring course, which is 232 meters shorter. Given an average speed of 100MPH (160km/h), this yields an addition 5.7 seconds, with a more typical allowance of 7 seconds. This would result in a range of 7:23-7:25, which is comparable to the 7:24 turned in by Horst von Saurma.

Yeah you messed up. You should be far more careful when buying the highest HP 911 and fastest production street Porsche from the factory, be more careful next time.
