Update: I bought the car. We worked out a good discount and I received fair value for my trade. Next week, I'll be breaking in a 2011 RS.

Congrats! I think you did the right thing. I would never order a stripped out RS.

Thanks for all the feedback. In the end, I liked the color combo. I liked the final price and the extra options will eventually help with resale. I'm sure the car looks great with the full leather and red deviated stitching.

Now I need to decide on the RSS or DAS roll bar. Going with the Schroth 6 point harness.
