Well, I'll be damned. I can't help thinking how it would have been way easier and cheaper to start off with a real RSR and slip a few bills along with your application to the people who determine the road legality of different cars. It is Italian registrered after all.
I was offered a BJ at a Shell station in Bologna by a hooker who wasn't even ugly, so I'm pretty sure he could get an RSR registered for road use under the same regime if he put his mind to it.

Are you sure it is 2007 aero?
This is the 2007 RSR:
Note the front of the car (especially the front blades).
This is the 2008 RSR:
Note how the nose of the car is the same as the "kit" car.
