My E30 project

We decided to pay for a new dash board from BMW since they changed the material from the crappy vinyl to the modern stuff.
Problem is we should have done this years ago. These new material dash now cost over 1300 bucks.

Wow! I'll skip that one
Do they make other new old stuff for the e30 like that? Where do you source it, the dealer I presume? Is there somewhere online where I can see what's available?

Then getbmwparts.com
I got the dash from theeurodepot.com since they were cheaper than Tischer (getbmwparts.com).
Remember my post about our E30 restoration? I also was able to do a Euro only roller sunblind after some digging on realoem.com and jotting down all the required parts. And I got lucky and scored a set of brand new Euro ellipsoids for 400 some bucks.
When we get a house and have more garage space, we will get the E30 fully restored and painted. Right now, the entire interior has been redone, and it has really made the driving experience that much better.

Yes! I just went digging through your threads. Did you buy that stereo Simba recommended? Never seen nav on a single din unit, pretty slick.

Oh, but if you are going to do single DIN, buy the RHD HVAC panel, so that the flip up screen will clear the stalk...

5-spd swapped in, replaced injector #5, new cat, now it'll pass smog.
Now I'm doing plugs, cap + rotor, timing belt, water pump, tensioner, front shock bushings, replacing the control arms, fuel lines, fuel filter. Two grand later and it's still ugly
