Best All-Season Daily Daily Driver Under $100k?

all this awd or offroad talk sucks...
if you aren`t one of the few people living far away from civilization the car will experience urban driving conditions in 90% of the time anyway..
and if it really snows like here right now, take it like a man and drive your RWD car through the snow covered streets...mostly only a thin layer anyway since salt and snow plugs do their job in most cases
I mean even the thousands of soccer mums in little Fiat Pandas with FWD don`t complain...
Maybe some of those guys complaining too much simply didn`t think about proper winter tires yet?
and concerning the space issue and thus the need for an SUV...
most SUVs don`t offer more space than a proper wagon like an Audi A6 Avant or an 5er Touring.
you can even fold down the rear seats and get more space
so as a city guy an SUV is just a personality thing and maybe the advantage of sitting higher and having a greater curb weight,..and showing that you have a bigger penis than the guy a feet below when being - pretty much daily - stuck in a traffic jam
hell you can even tow your freakin boat in 5 Series Xdrive...seen it numerous times
oh and SoCal...why being so modest?
C4S is nice,but why no 997.1TT?

I totally agree.
And to astonmartinone-77: We live in Europe and we know what snow is.
Your question was "If you had to pick the best car to drive as a daily driver year-round with snow, rain, etc. what would you choose?"
So you asked which car we would chose so if we don't care about awd and prefer a car with rwd such as a BMW 1M than you should respect that.
There are things like snowtires and in Europe they trow salt on the streets so the snow goes away, no need for awd.
And a SUV as DD: no thanks man, I'm not a mom who's picking up her kids from school everyday.
The day I have kids I'd still wouldn't buy a SUV unless I would be planning on going offroad. I'd prefer something like the BMW 5 or MB CLS.

Yeah sorry, kinda lost track of what the question was, but I never said I didn't respect an idea, I just suggested a new one.
#135
The A7 is a nice car too, but they all look alike, thats why I would go for the BMW 5 or CLS.
Are you actually considering on buying a 100k car, or is the question purely hypothetical?
#136
Well soon, but not for this question, this is just a discussion. So whatever people want is whatever people want.

You don't need AWD in Chicago. Let's get that straight. And if you can't drive an AWD Quattro SUV in 5 inches of snow you shouldn't be driving.

Actually I wouldn't say that, I'm about to launch a website that has pretty good earnings projections, I don't know if I like how you used "kid" by the way. People respected my opinion up until the point they found out my age...
