Amazon.com finally let me down. Expected delivery date somehow changed from 11/24/10 to 11/29/10.
I pre-ordered this ****er back in August, chose fastest shipping method from Amazon.com, called CS yesterday & they couldn't tell me crap.
Sounds like I'm not missing much...

I feel the game is very unstable under menus, i have a lots of menu loading freezes (GT logo), i did the 1 hour install and the ps3 is 1 day old (
) i may think this is something related to an unfinished 5 years developpement's game ...

Picked it up this afternoon, and have to say I'm very close to selling it after two races. Coming from F1 2010, the physics and sense of speed are absolutely terrible. I'm fairly certain an F40 didn't come with ice tires.
Also, that fact that it doesn't have native G25/G27 support is ridiculous.

I think you win too much money in this game i sold some crappy cars from the first three licences (silver and bronze bonus cars) , won easily the sunday cup and the first two karting challenges ( lvl1 & lvl7) and i have already twice the money to buy a GTR or the spec V... i remember some hour token to afford dreamed cars in PREVIOUS gt'S... now i'm leaning towards the MP4-12C but haven't enough level yet... money won't be a challenge in this game.

Stupid Bestbuy, went in this morning to pick up my copy of GT5 and they didn't have it!!!!!!!!!
I ordered the LE, and they only had the regular.
They said to check back later, they might have them in.
So I may or may not be on tonight.

First comments @ 2am yesterday.
How in the *uck can they not make an accurate timer? You know what you're installing, you know the specs of every system you're installing it on! How can it be 20min...17min................................3min. ..35s................................3s. and actually take an hour? You kidding me?
Menu sucks BIG TIME. Unclear, keeps asking me to put in my welcome message, profile photo and stuff every single time I go to Home. Music is still the aggravating elevator music.
Why do I have to do all the basic licenses again? I've been doing them for every single GT that came out ... I'm pretty sure I know how to brake.
Go Kart has potential ... maybe with a wheel.
LP560 is only available in black, white or yellow. That's it. Absurd.
AI is still as dumb as a bag of bolts, only now when they touch the back of your car, you're really *ucked.

I'm literally laughing out loud right now. Good stuff man. Sorry the game sucks. Polyphony probably spent too much time working on the GTR instruments.

I let it sit for an hour or two to install. I first started playing in Arcade mode and drove the F40 (I turned all the driving aids off to keep it true to the original car and it was damn near undrivable. Without the Logitech wheel, there is no modulation of throttle or brake so the car just goes everywhere. I don't remember it being like this in GT4...
I switched it up to the Zonda R after that. Turned some of the driving aids back on and it made a huge difference. Much easier to drive! Still, without the wheel, steering the car is much more difficult that I remember from GT4 or even GT5 Prologue.
After a bit of playing about in Arcade, I decided to dive into the actual game in Career Mode. Clicked on the icon to enter it and the game sat there loading for well over 5 minutes! WTF?! Why would it take so long to enter the basic menus after it already spent damn near an hour installing everything, presumably to help it run quickly???
I'm frustrated so far but I can't say I've honestly dug into the meat of the game itself yet so I'm going to try to keep an open mind.
