I agree - but where is the sense of achievement in being gifted someone else's (duped) X2010 etc that you haven't yourself earned and is beyond your current racing level to buy/win?

I was mainly commenting on this thread snowballing into a trading one though. Perhaps we need to separate them out as per other forums?

With regards to trading/duping - IMHO the only things worth duping are the FGT and X2010 AFTER you first earn them in the game. You can then race the copied version to death without having to cough up 0.5 million Cr each engine rebuild. Especially pertinent for the endurance 24 hour events after level 35.

Actually saying that - I might also buy the F1 cars and then dupe them to get the cash back - given they are useless other than to look at!

 

I understand your point. I will obviously try to complete the game, but sometimes the demands of that pesky real life thing make it impossible. In that circumstance, I'm glad I'm able to experience some of the wilder cars in the game.

 

Am I the only one that gets frustrated that half the races have one opponent who is way, way faster than everyone else? It may as well be a one on one race by the time you tune your car enough to be able to beat the fastest guy.

 

Yeah it is annoying. I remember some race where I had some kind of overkill car (800hp R8 or something) vs. a bunch of S3s, etc. and some dude in a shitbox was ungodly fast. I kept thinking WTF as I could barely reel him in...

 

Those were the times I wish they still had NAAAWWZ, like GT4. You could just ignore it if the race was already fair, or use it in the straights for a slower car that couldn't possibly reel in a faster one.

 

Ya I even forgot about that. Seems like it's been a lifetime since GT4
