I have the Apple in-ear buds. They were like $79 or something like that... I would go with the Shures that were mentioned above or something similar, but I am extremely rough on items like these.

Please for the love of god, don't get Bose. Sony is excellent, believe it or not.

Those are freaking awesome for the price. I thought they sounded great, and I like that they go in and come out easily. I am sure they don't box with the ~$500 IEMs being mentioned above, but for the price they blew everything out of the water. I mostly listen to music while studying, so I went with the SE210s because of the foam tips to isolate sound. Problem with those tips is that if you are taking them in and out a lot, they are a hassle.

i needed some sturdy (sporty?) earphones for working out and bought a pair of sennheisers via recommendation...well, they are simply awful. i guess they were designed for people who listen to a lot of bass intensive music because i barely get any mids or highs but an s load of lows. the most annoying part is that they wont stay in your ears while running or cycling which is supposedly a touted feature (and yes i tried the different rubber earbud sizes). on the plus side they do seem well made, im just majorly disappointed in the sound quality.

can anyone suggest a solution? im looking for clarity mainly...in a sturdy package that will stay in my ears. im either cycling, running, or lifting everyday so they need to be able to hold up to constant motion without falling out every 5 minutes.

you know what i had a pair on sony's before that i got as a gift and i loved them. unfortunately, i don't think they were designed with the gym in mind, they crapped out after about 6 months.

I have had westone UM1's for about two years now and they are just down right the most comfortable earphones to wear.
