Post Spied: Seems to be new version of F12 being tested

I don't know what it is as for now to be honest, may be sort of convertible version, so lets start the rumormill:

Could this be the Ferrari F12 Spider or GTO?

Based on this spy photo, Ferrari could be working on a more powerful version of the F12 Berlinetta. Grabbed by The Supercar Kids, this camouflaged F12 Berlinetta was spotted testing in Italy featuring a testing number plate, camouflage wrapping and horizontal slits next to the taillights which are not there on the production model.

One possibility is that this is an early stage Spider prototype as hinted by it's taped-off back glass except for a smaller rectangular section which might simulate the effective viewing area on the glass of a folding roof. This could also turn out to be a GTO, Stradale or HGTE variant of the F12 Berlinetta but at this point these are only speculations.

When the F12 came out about a year ago it was Ferrari's most powerful road car ever but now it has been dethroned by the LaFerrari. The Italians could be working on a different F12 model to bridge the gap between the two models.

As a reminder, the F12 Berlinetta is powered by a V12 6.2-liter engine with 740 HP (544 kW) and 509 lb-ft (690 Nm) of torque. Linked to a dual-clutch gearbox, the car will do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.1 seconds and a top speed of more than 211 mph (340 km/h).

I'm betting on a convertible first. The F12 just came out, seems too soon to have a GTO or higher power version out now.

No way it is a GTO. Ferrari will wait a decade before using the GTO designation again.
