CF clear coat question

CF clear coat question

Can anybody with experience answer me this I have a CF hood and trunk lid I'm about to install on my E92 should I have them clear coated or leave them as is

Definitely clear the CF IMHO. This will not only enhance the CF weave appearance, but it will also protect the CF. I do have a client with a Lotus Esprit 350 with bare CF spoiler, and after some time, it starts to show its age. It doesn't look bad, it just looks a bit dull and you cannot polish or wax it.
