If I hire one person, part time and just above minimum wage, I'd be out about $40 for each day they work, assuming a 5 hour shift. But I figure I'm gonna have enough to deal with already, so if I can train the person in distressing and possibly sewing the labels, then I can free up a little more time to figure out the problems I'll have with selling and marketing and whatnot. I'd probably do the first batch, of maybe 500-600 pieces, by myself, and if that goes well, I would definitely look at hiring someone to do the distressing.

And I'm heading to some thrift stores to pick up some nice looking jeans to experiment on, I might take pics when I'm done to see what y'all think.
