TPC Racing : Introducing the first production TPC Racing 3.7L Turbo Cayman
Several months ago we were sent this Cayman Turbo. This particular owner planned to use the car for some serious track duty. He was looking for more power than our base systems, or even our Stage 2, added. In addition, the owner wanted a motor that would stand up to constant abuse for a long time to come. Therefore it was necessary for us to take this project to the next level.

This meant a full tear down and rebuild of the Cayman's 3.4L plant. With new machined sleeves, the modified block was now able to accept a set of TPC Racing custom forged pistons and connecting rods. The resulting assembly boosts this motor's output from 3.4L all the way up to 3.7L while dropping the compression ratio from 11.1:1 down to 10:1. This change in displacement made for an immense improvement to the car's torque curve, providing massive instant thrust.

Putting down an impressive 530HP and 440LB/Ft of Torque, this 3.7L has enough grunt to deform facial tissue and rearrange organs. With its optimal mid-engined layout, its minimal weight, and its mammoth torque curve, this unassuming Cayman S will leave 997Turbo and Corvette Z06 owners scratching their heads. With it's lowered compression and custom components, this 3.7L Cayman Turbo is designed to handle higher boost levels for a much longer period of time than even our impressively stout Stage 2 Turbo Kit.

Before engine assembly all the components are checked and rechecked to ensure proper specs and clearances.

Both the engine block and heads were decked to ensure perfect mating surfaces when assembling the engine.

Valves and valve seats are all resurfaced to ensure perfect seals, preventing leakage.

Custom pistons find a new home, attached to custom connecting rods that will stand up to nearly any abuse the owner can throw at them.

With the motor coming together, it wasn't much longer before the motor was in the car and running.
