TPC Racing Cayman Turbo Update from Down Under
Our TPC Racing Cayman Turbo Kit has reached nearly every continent on Earth! We are still waiting on some of you guys down in Antarctica to give us a call.
The latest country/continent to get on the Cayman Turbo bandwagon is Australia with the great guys over at HARDING PERFORMANCE.
Their 987 Cayman S started life as a mildly tuned car that saw heavy track time winning many Porsche Club podiums and setting 987 track records all over Australia. However, like many of us, they felt the need for more.

So, as they put it, "after long discussions, many beers & a lot of research, we called the TPC boys and decided to 'pull the trigger'".
After some consultation, we sent out a Cayman Turbo Kit with the 550HP Stage 2 Upgrade as well as a set of our Pro Race Adjustable Sway Bars, Pro Race Drop Links, and our Pro Race Adjustable Toe Links. Add to that some serious body work and some new shoes, and it was easy to see that the guys over at Harding Performance were out to build an absolute monster!
First came the body....and what a body it is! A GT3 styled front and rear bumper with some serious fender flares went on as well as a spoiler to complete the body.

Add a few, easy to install, TPC Racing parts and POOF!!! What was a ~300BHP Cayman S become a 550BHP S2 Cayman Turbo with all the drivability and comfort as a stock car!

The guys over at HARDING decided to get a little creative, and fabricated their own custom exhaust tips; NICE WORK!

A little extra elbow grease, some OZ shoes, some a few strategically placed stickers, and......

Now that the car is complete, naturally the first destination was the track for some fun with Australia's MOTOR Magazine. The car performed well in their drag tests, demonstrating it's amazing ability to annihilate tires with it's enormous power. By the second pass, MOTOR Magazine's writer was able to get thee car to pull a 12.6second in the 1/4mile with wheel spin! Unfortunately, on the third run, the car suffered a small setback. In their quest for even faster times, The MOTOR Magazine writer managed to snap the passenger side transmission output shaft, which looks a little something like this:
Sorry guys, I guess we should have warned you....TPC Racing S2 Cayman Turbos are SERIOUSLY POWERFUL!

Here's a dyno of what the TPC Racing S2 Cayman Turbo looks like:

I would expect that a little more speed would be possible. These guys haven't quite gotten the launch of this car perfect yet, as you can see by the destroyed output shaft. But with the right combination of tires, launch technique, and weather, significantly faster times should be possible!
