Wait and get an '09. The '09+ Caymans/Carreras are much better than their .1 versions. I had an '07 Cayman and it was a little rattly in the back hatch. Definitely check around to see if you can get a German-made one (vs. Finnish). IIRC, because of the global economic problem, Porsche moved production back to Germany in 2009.

I'd much rather have a 2009+ Cayman S than any 996 Carrera.

Get the 09 Cayman S. Thats the car to 'wait' for. Aside from that I have this advice:

As guaranteed the Sun will rise and fall; someone will pay MORE than you and LESS than you.

Find the car, work the deal- and be done with it.

You will pay up for good ones and certain colors/option/miles no matter when you buy.
Start the hunt now and see what comes your way. PM me your info and I will be happy to help.

Is there any chance that a new redesign will be launched in '11 and those will become much better than the '09 versions? The first Cayman went three years: '06,'07, and '08. Does that mean the redesigned Cayman will go '09, '10, '11? And aside from the headlight change and the power upgrade, is there anything else that you can feel differently when driving an '09 as opposed to an '08?
