Hernando, awesome pics as always.

I need to get my pilot's license/certificate/whatever it is. I have been day dreaming lately of landing an airplane on Catalina Island. Not as nice, but it's close to home and it looks like fun.

AMazing pics Hernando. It's stuff like this that makes me want to get my flying license. How long was the flight from Miami to Nassau? Also, is there a lot more paperwork involved to fly international?

It was 1hour 20minutes to get from Miami to Nassau and 1 hour back from Nassau to Miami. Yes there is more paper work involved. I have to file a manifest with CBP called eAPIS which is a pain in the ass. I have to fill out immigration cards, General Declarations, and such. It is also required to file a flight plan.

Here is a great tool for understanding eAPIS:
http://flash.aopa.org/asf/eAPIS/

AOPA Online: Bound for the Bahamas

Here's what you need to know about flying to the Bahamas.
http://www.aopa.org/members/pic/intl/bahamas/index.html

EDIT:^^ You might have to be a member to access those sights. It's a good tool for the pilot members. I will try to find the info on another site.

EDIT2: Here is the Bahamas website on private flying http://www.bahamas.com/bahamas/private-flying

Yeah, I've been in some pretty bad turbulence. You should know that the plane can really take a lot. While it's better to avoid it, sometimes you can't and you have to go through. In the summer there are lot's of storms over South Florida and the Bahamas.

Actually I was at 7,500. Great flight though.
