Nice. I've only flown in to minimums twice, both during training for my IFR cert. My personal minimums will be higher for a while until I build more experience in the soup.

That's a good idea. It's important to build experience and get comfortable with the idea of going down to bare minimums.

That's what I was thinking. He must have had an excessively long runway though. I did an approach like that once in a full motion flight sim for an A319.

looks like the kind of approach planes do in war zones...
At least the A310 of the German Air Force flew like that into Kabul or other dangerous airports to prevent being an easy target

Exactly what I was thinking. I've been on C130's doing that approach....... It's pretty funny staring DOWN the tube of the aircraft..... LOL
