I would say that all things being equal on a "normal" runway, anyone in their right mind would have gone around. But given that stupid approach, I don't know that there was anything "unsafe" about it.
As the saying goes, any landing you can walk away from is a good one, and any landing that allows the aircraft to take off again is a great one.

Cockpit perspective from a 747 landing and taking off from St. Maarten.

I wouldn't say so. The perspective is a bit skewed in the video, it looks to me like he got it down with a reasonably safe distance to stop with the help of reverse thrust. He didn't appear to cook the brakes nor cut it anywhere near as close as is suggested in the video-- unlike the retard in the twin prop that ended up in the drink.

at this point, there were zero safety margins available and the overrun area is very short
sure, the view is a bit skewed but due to the displaced threshold the landing distance is shorter in that direction anyway and he landed well after what the right mind would consider the TDZ(lacking distance markings here)...
And considering the fact that this is not a "normal" airport which has higher obstacle clearance altitudes, greater limitations, inherits more risk and lacks infrastructure, the individual judgment of the crew should be even more safety orientated than at a standard straight-in ILS landing on a wide 11000ft rwy
