Am I crazy...

for wanting a 1970's Alfa Romeo GTV?

They're just so damn gorgeous. While I may not be equipped (financially) to own one at the moment, I feel that I must have one in my life before I die. It's just too beautiful not to love.

Some day...

Wow, now that's gorgeous! I've never really paid attention to these, but now I'm interested

You are not crazy. That is one spectacular little car. Not too crazy about the wheels. It needs something period correct for racing like some Panasports or Campagnolos

Oh I totally agree. I wasn't planning on buying one anytime soon, much less this one. The proper Campies would be perfect on a GTV!

Definitely a clean ride.

The current bid is $16,100, what price do you think it'll end up trading for?

Uhm, NO, you are not. I have been lusting over one for decades. As soon as I can deal with the heartache of it constantly breaking down, I'm getting one. There's one for sale for not much more than the annual large service on my P-car was now that I'm looking. Tempting.

See, I actually think there is a certain amount of charm in the breakdowns the car will inevitably have. It's all part of the Italian flair, imo. Even though it isn't practical and doesn't make any logical sense to own one these days, I just can't resist and I need one in my life!

I think done right, it would make a great classic rally car. At a very good price as well.
