Front left was worked on a bit. They cleaned off (shaved) the disks and noticed that the hub of the left front rotor was cracked so it'll need to be replaced (another battle with the insurance company to replace the other side).

Car also has the new wheels on. Pleased to see the titanium ones look good (old ones were black).

Pic shows new lower control arm, steering tie rod, spindle, brake caliper, and suspension bolts.

I had seen this posted several places before and couldn't believe how terribly it was handled. Glad you are FINALLY starting to see some progress. Sucks even more knowing how much you love the car. Looking forward to you getting it back and terrorizing city!

Good thing it wasn't a red with cars waiting at the light, would have fallen on up to 3 cars. Damn fortunate that no one else was hit as it is.
that is insane, i admire you for keeping your car in the end, did you get a TT kit out of this whole ordeal? as it sounds like it was not an easy "battle"

Didn't get anywhere near the cost of a TT kit, but I'm more of a twisty roads handling kind of guy anyway, and I love the engine noise.

Its damage like this that has not yet been spotted that would scare me.

I've been over the car extensively and probably spent upwards of 20 hours studying parts diagrams to figure out any interactions of forces, looked at which parts bent, where the energy went, how the diff would be impacted by the forces on the axles, etc. I'm pretty sure we got everything. This one we probably missed because the stump of the rim was still attached hiding the crack. I had actually looked at that rotor extensively and was waiting for it to be shaved to see if it was warped, it wasn't but turns out was cracked instead. I guess that crack follows the edge of the hub behind the rotor.
