Spyshots of Gallardo 560-4 Superleggera

I don't think this will really compete with the 550-2.
One is a 6MT RWD. A little weight lost but still full interior and normal exterior (stripe and black engine surround). Also, cheaper than 560-4
The other is E-Gear only (I assume), probably AWD, lightweight, and rowdy both inside and outside. And more $$

I have just got the information that SL version could be presented even till the end of this year. Expect something like Gallardo LP610-4 Superleggera. Still no idea yet about if could be RWD, but my guess that it will be AWD still.

I was just daydreaming about this Superleggera, then I remembered a Road & Track test on the '09 LP560-4. R&T is usually pretty conservative with their road test cars and it still clocked an 11.2 @ 129.5 in the quarter. Would it be safe to assume that a Superleggera version with less weight and a bump in HP would possibly break into the high 10's? Let's hope for a big bump in HP, a nice diet, and maybe a redline bump into the 9,000 range.
EVO magazine has also stated that if it weren't for the grabby brakes on the LP, the Scuderia & GT-2 would have been no match for it on the track. An SL version with better, bigger brakes? Yes please.
R&T tech date of a "normal" LP560: http://www.roadandtrack.com/assets/d...t_lambo_dp.pdf

Gallardo model range will compete with 458 Italia until the brand new replacement will be presented somewhen in 2011. And that Ferrari is not a joke, it one of the most advanced moders supercars and it is a very serious competitor for Lamborghini. That is why we can expect it developed to perfection and with some serious tech goodies we all will be amazed with.
As for new ceramic brakes, they will be available for all Gallardo model range early next year.
And there is clear that Lambo will make more RWD models, they would never do such a kind of conversion for one limted edition only, the Balboni edition is only a first step in this direction.
