345hp in an Exige ? Same handling as the old one ? V6 Supercharged vs the old 4 pot ? Yeah, pretty sure that would add up to a "mind changing" time if people bothered to drive it. This car has 85 more hp than the highest previous Exige variant...sensational !

What amazes me is the knee jerk worship of the GT3...Its a great car but certainly has room to be beat in the "road jollies" factor.

I'm not surprised the original reviewer found the Exige more of a sensory experience than the GT3. This after all, is the main reason we buy these "unnecessary" performance machines. Wouldn't be the first time someone put a strong motor into a light chassis and beat the pants off the competition, both objectively and subjectively. Well done Lotus !

damn guys,..why the steep wind against Stoppie?

he`s a sales guy...he knows his stuff!

And yes I totally agree with him

I love what Lotus has done there...but it`s rather a car for carnuts/people how know about cars..
Whereas Porsche is...well simply Porsche..
People knowing zero about cars would buy a GT3...because of the name..the cool wing..or whatever..
that`s a risky way to take for Lotus..but then again,I really appreciate their efforts!

I'll definitely be looking forward to that one! Can't wait to compare notes after I get a chance to drive one this weekend.

If you care at all about interior fit and finish then you shouldn't own a Lotus. To complain about those things is to miss the point entirely.

They are extremely small, hot, the plastic is crap, everything squeaks and rattles, and the ergonomics are questionable. None of that is remotely relevant to the car, though. You buy a Lotus because it's a raw, unfiltered sports car. Its pure fun. Its an experience few other cars can come close to.

This is an old school thread that brings back the best of memories. In fact, truth be told, it's pretty tame compared to GT-R and Vette fanboys going at it and the usual 'better than GT3' rhetoric (new Stoppie word).

These are all good problems to have!

noo
I was trying to say that Lotus is not very well known among the public and underrated/not getting the rep it deserves

Porsche has a greater bandwith of buyers..
like Controlits and

Guys who buy a "porch" with a wing,..which others then refer to as "wow must be a Turbo!!"
