10 weeks later and 3.5K poorer, my ADV.1 wheels are still not here...

Just tell them to credit your card and cancel the order

10 weeks is too long.

10 weeks is a long time. I had a similar experience with Forgestar. I was quoted 4 weeks, took 6 months. I was getting the same thing (ready next week excuse) for a long time. Learn from my mistake and just get your money back now.

wow, I'm a little surprised to hear all these comments to be honest. I appreciate the feedback guys, it's always good to hear some outside perspective on how leads are being handled and what our service is. We really do try our best to get back to everyone as quickly as possible and believe me the comments will not go unnoticed. or without further research on my end.
As far as the wheels in question, order 2773 which first of all I'd like to thank you for the opportunity to make these for you - it's going to be an amazing set. Regarding the lead time, I think the issue mainly stems from the initially quoted time frame which you mentioned, if this was in fact from us I will be the first to confirm that it is absolutely incorrect and for that I apologize. A set like this, which requires new drawings / programming as well as 21" step lips in rear which are constantly back ordered at the moment would / should be quoted 8-10 weeks with the possibility of as long as 12 weeks. Our engineers our buried in files and believe me we would rather turn an order down than over promise and have the added pressure of a frustrated client. Right now we have over 300 orders in production so there's no room for any additional pressure or problematic orders and I'm the first to filter those out as they come in. I've even advised our sales staff that I will actually pay commission on an order that they did not close if due to a requested lead time that we cannot commit to in order to ensure that there is no unnecessary pressure added to our work load.
With that being said, again I apologize if you were quoted the wrong lead time. The wheels were input as you mentioned on 2/14/12 and as of today have been in production for 71 days. The order is in it's final stage right now and given there are no quality issues upon final inspection, they should be ready within the next few days. I would say confidently that you should have these on your car by end of next week if you plan to set up the install once they arrive at Sonic.
For this reason, we have an online order status section which allows all of our customers to check their orders as often as they'd like. There is real communication as well on the site by our production manager, Sean who answers and updates all questions / order status' daily if there is a status change to be added. You can view your order here - no BS, no 360 as some mentioned, just black and white transparent order information for anyone to see:

I really appreciate your REPEAT business, and I'm sorry that you were misinformed. I'm always available to anyone who would like to speak to me so don't hesitate to call me or email me anytime for any reason at all. We're honestly working around the clock right now to keep up, 24/7 machine shop shifts running and a staff of over 20 working nearly as long trying to keep everyone happy and equally as importantly to maintain quality and support. It's a very busy season for everyone right now and the delays can come from every angle - even so we're pumping out 500-600 individually made, specifically engineered and finished forged wheels monthly just like yours and just like you there are 300 others waiting patiently. Our lead times range anywhere from as little as 10 days to as long as 100 and we're very clear about this when given the opportunity to discuss things with the end user in order to avoid these issues before hand. I'm sure you'll love these wheels and it will be worth the wait, if not call me for a full refund including any additional expenses you might incur, no questions asked.

Good response from ADV1.
I have to say--with all these complaints about wheel companies, I would think any wheel company with really good customer service would clean up in this market. Several weeks with no response seems to be the norm from most of these companies.

) coz the vendor is a good friend of mine and I trust him complicitly. But the problem is not with the vendor anyway as I have stated, they have been superb. I also just ordered amg sport suspension (
) from the vendor, and its coming very soon.

Obviously this customer isn't concerned about being scammed. However, the pro-active communication is lacking. Make whatever excuses you want, but the vendor/manufacturer is leaving something to be desired.

I lose a customer if a day goes by. Which an hour never does without a call.
Weeks without a call back from any vendor or company shows an arrogance and self importance and they are forgetting WHOM pays their bills.
