Nice post DJ, this car is such a legend... has anyone ever seen one personally? Only 85 made... rare indeed.

I have always liked this body style, and whenever my dealership gets a 99-01 clean SL in we get a ton of inquiries, because there is a big fan base.

I saw one back when it first came out, in Cannes. Blew my mind. So many fantastic cars in that area. EB110, Virage Vantage, Rinspeed Viper ...

Perhaps the looks were a little dated for '01, but it still was a great design. Very well proportioned, unlike a lot of cars today. And the 525 hp is just the cherry on top.

Never seen one though, hopefully the one mentioned above is shown at the Greenwich Concours sometime again.
