Only driven an SLR briefly, but i'd say the SLS is the more rounded package.

Plus in my eyes at least, the SLS is the better looking car. The SLR has always looked a little over-done to me.

To the OP - can you give me some feedback on the brakes ?

Anyone else driven an sls with both Ceramic breaks and the Standard ones?

I have driven SLSs with ceramic and standard brakes.

Unless you're planning regular track work, the standard setup is fine. I did some serious repeated braking down steep inclines at speed, in hot weather all day long and they never suffered.

The ceramics just aren't worth the money, in my opinion.

I think they are pretty rare still. What there seems to be a lot of are low mileage ones for sale. I think a lot of people bought them to speculate.

There are around 25 for sale in the classifieds at the moment, with some real bargains to be had. Example:

Cummings of Bodmin : SLS 63 2dr Auto

50 miles on the clock, and by going on the configurator the spec of that car would have cost £188,000. So that's a drop of £23,000 in 50 miles!!

Ouch. Someone has speculated on the wrong car. Also, it makes that SLS a bargain.
