Thank you, I am very happy. I felt there was more pontential with the cars exterior and performance, the stock engine I was easily over with. I've added boltons still didnt cut the mustard or I might got used to the Forced Induction power with the XKR.

I am out of words, really happy didnt ever thought of going this far with the car. I will be back home in late october to see how this car performs. I literally need LSD (Quafie), 525hp 508tq on 265 tyres is prone to go sideways.

It is time to lower the top, go out for a nice ride (sunset) time when the temps get into the 20's by November and listen to the likes of this track.

I still have got other plans, I will see how it handles with my current setup( brabus springs) if I didnt like it; I can get coil overs and front strut bar.

I cant wait to get home, miss my car. I have now just the HRE's on the way and to purchase new tyres that is it. Cant wait to have the brushed 19" HRE M40's!

That is for now, I want to get camshafts hopefully and make it an SLK55 K3 with 540hp minimum, I think I'll gain more because I've got the secondary catalytics an x-pipe plus green filter; whilst the Kleemann gives you the oem filters.

Green filters on N/A engine dyno at 3hp, secondary cats at 6hp and maybe another 6hp for the X-pipe.

K3 540( conservative )-565hp.

Bumper is to be fitted tomorrow, the car goes out for a roadtest and dyno(this week).

 

Another day another highlight, today they fitted the front bumper on and I think they are out for a road test. they've ligned up hoses, brackets etc. The install looks tidier and also the airtubes were installed.

Here are some new pics, they made some brakets to fix wiring harness and water line, then all things finally installed, amg lettering has to be put on with new sticker tape (on the airboxes)

Mo have them give the thing a good detail while it's taken apart - don't want dust all over the engine bay!

 

I wont polish the car, I'll just let them wash it down and do the engine bay as usual.

 

BTW just got the word next SLK55 AMG 3rd gen R172 will have 415HP 5.5L(M15x) will have 4 valves per cylinder (definitely not from the M113 line) and direct injection. Mine will exceed it in power.
