Deleting multiple contacts at once on iPhone?

the best way is to delete everything from your syncing computer and then sync. make sure you check the box under the info tab in the advanced section that says "replace information on this iPod/iphone."

if you are using iCloud then the changes should sync automatically.

Despite the inordinate amount of hours I spend on a computer, I'm unfortunately computer illiterate. What backup are you referring to?
