Problem deleting emails from iPhone

I often get the message "unable to move message' when I am trying to delete emails from my iPhone? Any idea why this keeps happening?

Also, is there a way to delete all or many messages at once easily? Seems as though you have to 'swipe' each one to delete..

Settings -> Mail -> Account in question -> Advanced -> Delete mailbox -> Touch trash box.

Some exchange accounts will cause weirdness that make it difficult to delete the whole mailbox.

not sure on the first part of your message.

On the second part (assuming you have version 2.xx), click Edit in mail and tap the circles next to the messages. You can delete as many as you want.

Thanks guys...I deleted the account and added it again..that seemed to work!

And I see how to delete faster using 'edit'...wish there were a way to 'select all' and delete..I changed the settings to display only the last 25 messages..It's not a major problem but I would like to be able to do this:

Delete all messages and NOT have the iPhone go back and keep bringing them in...follow?

This is an aol account I have and I am not deleting them off of the server only off of the iPhone..so once deleted on the iPhone, the iphone then continues to connect to aol and downloads more messages...

am I making sense?

anyway to 'select all' then delete messages? or is the only way to "edit" and select each email to delete?
