BTW, my 3gs update took the first time. Not fast, but zero issues, all apps in the right folders and working fine.

I switched to iPhone from my BlackBerry after they cut out the unlimited plans. Apparently if you switch from one brand to a different one you lose out on those plans. But fortunately for me, AT&T has a special "unlimited" plan for those who are deaf. I had to fill out a bunch of paperwork to "prove" that I was really deaf. No voice plan with this one which makes sense. Just unlimited data and messaging for $50 a month. $30 for data only.

As I updated the iPhone to iOS5, I watched 1.5 episodes of Mad Men on my iPad. I'd rather go back to those days.

^ That's the best part about Mad Men - it really paints an interesting picture of those days.

Men were men and they ruled the roost.

But is was a largely horizontal society. The show does a good job of portraying that as well.

not to excited about regrouping the apps though (not that many anyway).

that should be interesting, a change from WhatsApp hopefully with faster, more efficient messaging
Same. I had 128 apps to reinstall. Lucky I backed them up.

Installed and updated fine but how do I make the camera icon how up on the lock screen like it does in the vids.

Double click the home button when the phone is locked. Then you can use the volume buttons to snap the picture.

Installed after second attempt but didn't carry over any of my apps. They're all backed up but didn't have time to go back and try to retrieve them. Funny thing is that I still get notifications for apps like Whatsapp and I can reply but can't seem to find it anywhere unless I press the Home button twice. They are all there on the hidden menu.
