So this is what 2k would get one:

3.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 4x2GB
2TB Serial ATA Drive
ATI Radeon HD 4670 256MB
Apple Wireless Keyboard
8x double-layer SuperDrive
Apple Magic Mouse
For 2k I can still build twice that. 2 Grand and I get a Radeon HD 4670 with only 256MB? Sad.

I'm sure you could. But that won't fix vtgts300kw's computer now would it?

Not with a built-in 27" LED-backlit IPS display.

You get a 512 4850, not a 4670.

Have you tested the hardware itself without booting the operating system? I'm not sure of Apple software, but I'm sure there's a program that does it before start-up. The bogging down can be a result of failing RAM. This would result in the pagefile being transferred to the hard drive which would dramatically decrease performance.

Also, it is a popular belief that Apple computers do not get viruses. This in fact proven by many IT professionals is not the case. Try installing Virus Barrier, you might find a coupe inside of there. I don't believe Simba position on this at all. I have MANY MANY friends that have Apple computers that have had viruses reported on their computer. Not to mention that I used to be part of many "questionable" groups relating to identity theft ( not saying I took part in it ). We had many members successfully steal credit card information via operating system ( nothing site related ).

So your saying Mac's OSX/Tored-A and OSX/Jahlav-C wasn't Malware? I'd hardly call that "nearly impossible".

Apple confirmed to PC Magazine that OSX 10.6 features an anti-malware tool, two in fact. So before you get on your high horse saying your Apple computer doesn't get viruses, understand that the people at Apple are smarter than you. They are much more intellectual in the field of computing. The fact that they have two anti-malware tools on their operating system tells you something.

Here's the anti-virus link.

Reformatting is not a bad idea if you don't have much information you care about.
Sorry about me being a pinhead earlier it's just been a hard week.
