Thanks Scott. I definitely plan to pick up another iphone when the 3g model comes out. Plus the headphone jack fix is great. Pissed me off that I could not use my current Shures with the phone.

yeah, my current iPhone will become and iPod Touch essentially. I can't wait for the 3G.

As for the headphones, you can pick up an adapter for 10 bucks to use any headset.

Do you guys think that the 3G iPhone will replace the old one? I'm currently waiting for this little gem to be released instead of getting one right now. But if they're keeping the old model, I'm sure they'll drop the prices on it. I also wonder if the 3G version will be more expensive as the current and how many gigs it'll have. I'm really excited

I don't think it replaces it fully. Then again who knows. I LOVE my iphone. You'll love it if you buy now. If you wait, you'll love it. (Im not a lot of help huh?)

I am guessing it will be same price as now for a 16gb. I kind of expect a storage upgrade for $100 more.

Hahaha, yeah so many people really love their iPhones. My problem is just to find a way to get it shipped from the states. I've missed a few opportunities for friends visiting there to bring them home. As the dollar is so cheap I can two there for the same price as one here.

Btw, how long stand-by/talk time do you get from it? I read somewhere that it had 16hours of talk-time? Could that be true? My Moto razr has about 1hour lol.

16 hours of talk time my butt

its a great phone/web tablet

def. worth waiting for the 3g version for speedy browsing.

the only downside is tied to the upside... compared to a E61i nokia or a BB the typing just isnt there. It looks cool... but you arent as fast or accurate.

Hm, should've meant 8hours of talk time. Just googled around a little.
Do you find it hard to type on? I got pretty good at it after a few mins of practice but I still type faster on my Vrazr (1min for 160letters).
I really hope the new phone will be updated so you can write texts in a horizantal layout, can't see why that isn't possible right now..
