seriously? You guys are blasting HP for making there laptop look as clean as a MBP? The design and aesthetics of the macbook pro are top notch. HP obviously understands that and decided to step up up the package there laptop comes in. I for one am glad they aren't sticking to the shitty plastic most pc laptops come packaged in. And as josh said, the internals on the Envy are badass...

Didn't know Apple had a patent on aluminum finish.

I've actually been seriously considering getting the Envy 15 as I've gotten impatient waiting for the new i5/i7 MBPs to come out. That and HP is offering a $450 discount. The discount brings the i5 Envy with a 1GB standalone GPU to about $1000.

I actually went out and bought one, exactly because of this reason. And I have to say, that I love it. It was very inexpensive, the screen is gorgeous, win7 runs great, and the fit and finish are awesome. I got sick of waiting and so did the 3d programs I need to work on my personal projects at home. It was a no-brainer, especially at its price point.

I give it two thumbs up
