I'm not a huge HP or Envy fan. I remember when Voodoo was an independent boutique maker for gamers, and their products were POS then...I can only imagine how bad HP has diluted and cheapened their products now. The Envy I purchased had flaws from blown pixels to subpar paint from the very beginning. Needless to say, the company never rectified it; so I told them to go suck start a Glock while I use their POS laptop for shooting practice. Whoops, I seem to have thread-jacked....my bad.

 

HP Envy Epic fail from their side! I had to look for a full 10 seconds to actually spot the difference.

 

Meanwhile, the hardware in that thing blows away the MBP by an absolutely massive margin. The specs aren't even close, and the more powerful Envy runs much cooler.

Look, my goal with the Apple forum is to provide a place to discuss Apple's products and offer support for them. This is a volunteer effort on my part which sucks up no small part of my time. This was NOT intended to turn into a "computer off-topic" with endless "Mac vs. PC" nonsense. I really don't have the time nor the interest to deal with that sort of thing.

If anyone has their panties in a bunch over a thread getting closed because it had widely deviated from the original topic, tough rocks. If you guys would all rather get your free support elsewhere, I'd be happy to hang up my shingle and do something considerably more productive with my time.

 

So you got a PC that looks like a Mac, is powerful like a PC and actually can get shit done.

Sounds like heaven to me.

I can't believe HP would sink so low though, at first I figured it was some cheap Chinese knock off brand.

 

I just checked out of our hotel and the reception desk are using black HP laptops, noticed it was called a " ProBook ".

What a joke ( as I sit here typing this on my MacBook Pro. )

HPinvent my scrotum.

 

...and (like pretty much every other intel based PC) can run OSX.
