PDK - Am I the only one who thinks it sucks?

Correct. They discontinued DuoSelect in 08 (that was F355 technology, sucked), and then for one year (09) they did F1 Superfast in the GranTurismo S. They brought in 300-400. They did not re-certify to new EPA standards because it would be too costly, so in 10 they went to all ZF autos.
Someone had posted the PDK seems quicker utilizing the shift instead if the paddles. I just drove my demo. Seems to be true. Weird.

Now you guys finally get it!!!
My car is one of about 300 (some claim 285) in the US with the F1 Superfast tranny and Maserati will never offer it again.
I would not buy the car with the ZF autobox. It's not for me.
My hope is that the next gen Maserati comes with the dual clutch off the California, but I would put the chances of that at less than 50/50.

The Superfast is awesome. Easily my favorite automated manual

It is awesome. For anyone who has only driven German dual clutch transmissions, you don't know what you're missing. The shifts are literally instantaneous and it is the closest thing to the feeling of driving a manual that you'll find in an automated clutch tranny.

I personally hate dual clutch setup, but can live with it if the other choise was torque convertor PRND321.

I drove the gt-s with the f1 and it was great, but something about the f1 in the scud just feels a little bit quicker...maybe its just the violence of the extra power...lol.

I believe it's 60ms shift time in the Scud and 100ms in my car, but I could be wrong about the Scud. But hard to imagine that a human could tell a 40ms (40/1000 of a second) difference without having like some super human sensory powers. Even Stoppie' Gaydar is not that sensitive and it's been finely honed.

The F1 in the GT-S is Superfast which is the 599 trans (100ms). The Scud trans is Superfast2 which shifts in 60ms.
I have seen SMG in here a couple times... SMG blows, no comparison
