Anyone here upgraded the HP of the new 991S?
Has anyone here raised the HP on there new 991s? If so what was done to it? also what is the best way to get an additional 40 to 50 hp? I am tossing up a used 2010 Turbo or a new 991. I really love the new interior and looks of the new 991 but love the hp/performance of the Turbo. I feel with 440 to 450 hp the new 991S would satisfy my need for speed. I had a 2010 997.2 PDK non S and it felt really slow with not much torque. My current Grand Sport has over 475hp at the rear wheels and I really dont want to go down in HP. Yes I know the build quality and the PDK is amazing and cant compare to my current GS. Just looking for ideas and thoughts. I have taken a ride in the new S as a passenger and really liked the ride. Thanks in advance.

Waiting on stuff from Fabspeed and Sharkwerks.
Perhaps a Supercharger kit from VF Engineering, though I'm pretty sure the last 911 they pushed out upgrades for was the 997.1, so I'm not even sure if they plan on tackling the 991.

The latest issue of Excellence magazine had an article about the Techart 991 and went into detail about how the new generation of NA cars are so well engineered and optimized that getting enough additional power out of these cars for reasonable amounts of money (and therefore reasonable amounts of research and development capital) was not effective. So, they took the approach of optimizing the suspension and exhaust setup and not even touching the ECU or other power-related. I suppose we will see 991 Power Enhancement programs, but at an increased cost/HP model. The big power enhancement programs will come from the Turbo models...the same as 996/997 platforms.
