It is an improved intake designed to increase airflow by eliminating the "T" intake that is currently there and replacing it with a "Y" intake...picture will explain.

DGN, thank you for the compliments on the exhaust system available for the 997.2 Carrera/Carrera S. With the Fabspeed high performance air intake, X-Pipe primary resonator bypass pipe, and Maxflo mufflers, power will increase from 339WHP to 359WHP, and torque will increase from 273 ft-lbs to 299 ft-lbs to the wheels. This will put you at about 410HP/340 ft-lbs of torque with just 3 simple bolt-on replacement products. If you opt for the ECU upgrade, this will put you at about 415HP-420HP! We have all products in stock and I will include some of my videos below from our 997.2 C2S 6-speed:

Couldn't have said it better myself. Here are a couple of pics from a 997tt stock vs. IPD.
On your 997.2 The gains are about 15hp and 15 ft. lbs. of torque.

Just in the final stages of putting the concept together.
Will post here the way I am going shortly.
Man, is this a fun hobby or what? I still feel like a kid on Christmas morning!
Cheers!

For the exhaust upgrade,I have decided on the Fabspeed solution.
Starting with the airbox intake, Maxfow mufflers (will be on loud seting), X-pipe and Fabspeed tips.
No headers at this time as there seems to be few who fabricate them for street use and consequently, cost does become a factor, so they will be left for another day.
With regard to the ECU upgrade, I am still undecided on which way to go. Seems these forums slightly favor EVOM's solution over GIAC. Not quite clear to me, but if I understand GIAC's explaination correctly, (meaning their flashloader can be used to enhance performance w/out chip replacent or removal of ECU) then I am leaning towards their product.
Work will be done in about 8 weeks when I return to The States from overseas.
Thanks to all who commented, sent PMs, rendered opinions and advise. It is appreciated and I would be happy to hear any further feedback.
Thanks, DGN
