R.I.P. The Porsche 911. 1963-2012

The source did guarantee that the 997 will be the last flat-6 911. As much as I hope that isn't true, unfortunately the source is very reliable.
The clock just started ticking for the end of a legend.
I truly hope I can look back on this thread and laugh about how stupid I'm being, but I don't think I'll be laughing.

I've been with Porsche for 15 years. The flat 6 is going nowhere. Neither is this thread.

I spoke to someone on TS who has a very excellent source that I am bound not to tell anyone who this person is. This unnnamed person says you eat boogers and fart in your sleep. Being such an excellent, however unnamed, source clearly this has to be true. Otherwise the person on TS I have been talking to would have been making it all up, which clearly couldn't be true because the source is so very good. Therefore I have to conclude you eat boogers while awake and fart while asleep. You stinky booger eater.

Why would anyone change a thread started by another even if they are the "moderator"
Does this come down to DJ and rulers deciding what's posted and when?
That's a BLOG not a Forum.
I think whether or not the 12 year old is right or wrong his thread title should gather the same respect every other thread does.
Please someone let me know when the TS guru's have decided it's ok to post what you want and I'll be back.
until then Ciao

Not really - considering there really wasnt anything wrong with the original title.
h20Skier's points are extremely valid.
If moderators are going to edit what an individual types, then, this isnt a forum of individual ideas - its a forum of what the moderators want individuals to say.
Now, what I wrote might be drastic. And I think in this situation, the moderator was playing around - but, regulation and censorship have to start somewhere.....
RIP 911 - ok, its a bit melodramatic and possible "over the top" - but, it caught my attention and keeps me on the site, visiting every day. Isnt that what the site owners want - repeat visitors in the 18-54 male demographic with income levels above average?
I say change back the title - unless there is something in the "rules" which states that a moderator will edit the title to suit his/her opinion.
Good fun, but bad policy.
Peace!

PS - asked my dealer when the absolute last date in that I can spec a GT3, Targa 4S and a GTS is. He said he'll find out exactly what is going on.
STOPPIE - can't you shed some light -

I was specifically told not to give up the source. All I'll say is the source is a very successful racing driver. I wouldn't doubt him at all. Exactly what he said, and these aren't even direct quotes: "The GT3 RS LE will be the last 6 cylinder 911. The new 911 will get an 8 Cylinder engine. I've already driven it in Germany, and it also had no rear seats". Most of that is fact. There are 8 cylinder 911 prototypes. Whether it's a V8 or flat-8 is unknown. It is also unknown whether Porsche was just testing an 8 cylinder, or if that is the route they're going.
And h20skier, I agree. It doesn't make sense...
