996 Track Car Build
#14
Got some tattoos for the car to complement the paint before I got it to the track. The entire process was a great experience and it was done much faster than I ever expected. Not going to say I'm done, because we all know that your never done with projects like this, but it is certainly a fantastic foundation for anything I want to do with it in the future. I'm likely to get a Traqmate before my next event. The display will be mounted on the dash.

I thought the way Matt installed the Shift light was rather clever. The clear plastic below still allows you to see the dummy lights on the dash.

Some action shots at the track (Road Atlanta)

My next upgrade will likely be the dreaded IMS. I want to keep this car running well into the distant future and it seems like a prudent upgrade for reliability's sake. When I get to it, I'll make sure to post pics of the OEM part.

Also, I have not decided on class. Don't even have my license yet, that will hopefully come early next year. Since it's only a 3.4L it looks like NASA GTS3 is where the car would be most competitive. Also like the 996 Spec class that is in its fledgling stages at the moment.
Feel free to post your opinions on the suspension.
Thanks!
