We went to the dealer this morning when it opened. I spoke to the service guy and he said they'll get it done today. I asked if it was something they could check on the PIWIS and he said yes. It's currently 0945 here, so I'm hoping to hear something soon. I'll call them at noon if I don't hear from them. Keeping fingers firmly crossed...

Thanks for the updates. I am sorry to hear about the trouble. Hopefully it will get solved today, and you will be back on your way to Monterrey. I wish I could join you guys up there. Looking forward to more pictures, and updates.

OK - so we're back in business. They had to resolve two open warranty issues. The CEL was likely from vapor loss in the gas cap - i.e. the gas cap was cross-threaded. Unbelievable. I am one of those people that check the gas cap, oil cap, etc. 500x whenever I get gas, add oil, etc. He said it didn't catch some of the threads and threw the CEL. Effectively it only put us about 1 hour behind on our schedule (plus some gray hairs if I had any)... We're on our way again - post more pics later!!

Now don't mind me as I laugh HYSTERICALLY at the thought of your tirade when it happened, and then to find out it was you and the gas cap. Damn...

Glad to hear it was something minor.

Chris, I am looking forward to meeting and hanging out with you in Monterey, but I want to be clear about one thing.... I prefer that you not cap or uncap any of my beverages, bottles or fuel tanks.
