tblackj - you have a 997tt too? i really can't keep track of your cars.

on motons, my 996tt is pretty solid (i've had it up to 182mph) but i *very much* fear hitting a hole/bump in the highway. at that speed, i have no doubt i would take off.

It´s not me, it´s the car that shakes the steering. An old rule from the history of the 911: Not holding the steering wheel so tightly that your knuckles are getting white while traveling with higher speeds. You should hold your steering as if you have bird in your hand. The car and steering will move a little but will not fly off. (ouch, hard for me to explain in english)

Especially the 964 and before models should be treated like that, the 997 AWD models are much much better, but you still feel that it is an 911
